Hi CWB’ers! Every September (Post Labor Day, we mean) New York City erupts in a fashion frenzy. It is all about fashion, the designers who dictate and set the tone for the upcoming seasons. Photographers, Celebrities, Editors, Designers, Socialites, Bloggers, and street style guru’s all hit this town. Hard. New York Fashion Week is the time of year when it’s acceptable to walk the streets as if they are on a runway. To pose for a photo that no one is actually taking. To always be ready to be captured and thrown onto a fashion a blog! We too hit pause and shift our gaze to the runways. That’s exactly where our eyeballs have been focused on for the past week. Alexander Wang’s collection was about “Grey Matter”. The new neutral color – Slate. Wang was not the only one into shades of grey. Oscar De La Renta, Theory, Proenza Schoular, and 3.1 Phillip Lim were right in stride with the newest concrete trend.
At the DKNY show all we wanted to do was join their “Color Block Party.” Actually, I guess we did when we rocked up to party at the DKNY 25th Birthday Bash…check out CWB’ers Lori, Kiki, and Donna herself in our party pix!
We couldn’t help but to feel a homage to Andy Warhol’s screen prints in the graphic patterns strutting down the runway of some of our favorite designers Suno, Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch, and Peter Som. As you all know… we live for graphic printing here at Comes With Baggage.
